Located Downtown at 1309 Commerce St., Nightmare Toys is a Horror/Halloween shop offering horror collectibles, toys, shirts, posters, DVDs, props, Halloween costumes, and décor all year round. What Now Las Vegas reported last year that the shop would expand next door with the new concept Nightmare Cafe. The cafe is now hiring, according to its page on the Nightmare Toys website.
In a space of approximately 2,500 square feet, the cafe will include a full bar and roll-up garage doors, allowing guests to eat and drink on the patio. The restaurant will serve southern-style fried chicken, a nod to co-owners Kristy Adams‘s and Philip Martin’s Alabama roots.
“Slowly but surely we are getting done,” reads a post on the cafe’s Instagram page from earlier this year, showing progress on wall art in the space.
The Commerce St. location is situated on the southeast corner of the intersection with W Colorado Ave. A number of other food and drink locations are to be found nearby, including Servehzah Bottle Shop and Tap Room, Cork and Thorn, and Golden Fog Coffee.
What Now Las Vegas was unable to reach Philip Martin for an update on Nightmare Cafe’s opening date.
