Silverlake Ramen continues to grow in Southern California through franchising, with a second restaurant headed to San Diego soon. Currently in operation at Fashion Valley mall, the LA-born chain will open at Westfield UTC next.
Franchising Partner Craig Chung tells What Now San Diego the location has been in the works for some time but ran into some hurdles along the way to opening.
Founded in 2012 by Jitaek Lim and Thomas Aono, Silverlake Ramen has grown from a small operation in Los Angeles to 18 locations in California plus another 9 locations coming soon. The brand has branched out into Texas, Washington, North Carolina, Utah, Georgia, and Arizona.
On the menu we can expect their Classic Ramen with creamy pork broth, Shoyo Ramen, Chicken Karaage Bowls, a mix of sushi and hand rolls, as well as vegan and vegetarian options like their Impossible Bun.
Chung says Silverlake Ramen at UTC is projected to open by Christmas 2022. Follow Silverlake Ramen on Instagram for updates and grand opening news. Visit their website for more information on all restaurant locations.
