At long last Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs is making its way to the Lehigh Valley. Developer Nat Hyman plans to open Nathan’s first brick and mortar restaurant in the area next summer, reports 69 News.
While the restaurant has faced multiple zoning delays, Hyman anticipates construction beginning at the 328 West Lyndon Street location within the next several months.
Once complete, the restaurant will offer drive-thru and walk-up services. No indoor seating will be provided.
Hyman, the developer behind many apartment buildings across Allentown, is opening a Nathan’s food truck at that same location to bridge the gap until the storefront opens. The truck will open on June 21, with operating hours running from 11 am to 8 pm daily.
The mobile eatery will provide a glimpse at what the restaurant will offer once it opens next year. The extensive menu features Nathan’s beef hot dogs, chili-cheese dogs, bacon-cheese dogs, a variety of burgers, Philly cheesesteaks, chicken tenders, onion rings, and fries.
Nathan’s Famous Hotdogs first opened its doors in New York in 1916. The brand currently has 198 locations across the United States.
