Ocean County meat lovers will soon be able to enjoy one of the country’s favorite burgers. The media outlet, Patch, reports that Shake Shack is coming to Brick Township.

No opening date has been set for the establishment. Urban Edge Properties is developing Shake Shack alongside a First Watch restaurant at 644 Route 70 and Chambers Road. The site formerly housed a Santander Bank, but Urban Edge acquired approval to develop the restaurants in 2020.

The pad for the restaurants has not been built yet.

Shake Shack is in the extremely early stages of development. However, Urban Edge Properties’ vice president, Justin Lustig, is confident the location will prove lucrative for the restaurant, stating  “Brick Commons is a highly trafficked destination with fantastic proximity to the Jersey Shore’s beach destinations. This new pad site faces Route 70 and creates a desirable spot for both of these restaurants and even more compelling reasons for our guests to visit, stay and shop.”

Shake Shack has gained massive popularity since its founding in New York City in 2001. Propelled by a menu featuring shakes, hot dogs, fries, and of course, burgers, Shake Shack has expanded to include over 400 global locations.
