Slim Chickens is planning to open its first Triad location at 2525 Eastchester Drive in High Point.
Charlotte-based Break Bread Ventures, operated by Rob Bryan and Jonathan Crumpler, will be the franchisee for the upcoming location. It will be their ninth Slim Chicken franchise location, following three in the Charlotte area, one in Fort Mill, three in Columbia and one in Pembroke.
The High Point location is expected to open in February, according to the Triad Business Journal.
Break Bread Ventures has ambitious plans for expansion, with goals to open about 30 locations in five to 10 years. A spokesperson with Break Bread Ventures told the Triad Business Journal that the company plans to open more spots across the Triad in coming years, with Greensboro and Winston-Salem in mind as potential markets.
Arkansas-based Slim Chickens has more than 270 locations and many more in the works across the nation, with more than 1,200 stores in the works, according to an article in QSR Magazine. The chain is known for its hand-breaded chicken tenders, wings, sandwiches and house sauces. It also serves items like milkshakes and mac-and-cheese bowls.
