Urbane Cafe continues to expand throughout Southern California, with several locations planned for San Diego County, including a new site coming to San Marcos.
Previously, What Now San Diego reported on new locations coming to Clairemont and Point Loma, but exact opening dates were never shared. Now, more details regarding the company’s expansion plans are here. Urbane Cafe will open the new Clairemont location in July 2024. The company is also planning to open another location in Point Loma in the fourth quarter of 2024, according to a representative from the company. Urbane Cafe will also be opening three Los Angeles sites by year-end.
This is just the beginning for the company, as it plans to open several locations next year, including a new site in Las Vegas. In San Diego, Urbane Cafe is planning to open in San Marcos’ Creekside Marketplace. The exact timeline for this opening is yet to be determined. Other areas that will receive a new location next year include Long Beach Bixby Village, Long Beach, Ranchos Palos Verdes, Simi Valley’s Tapo Canyon, and Torrance. All of these locations will be corporate-owned and led by CEO Tom Holt.
The company started in 2003 when Holt realized there was a missing niche in the Ventura restaurant scene. As a result, he created a concept that combines great sandwiches with fresh salads. When these locations open, customers can expect freshly made focaccia bread, all-natural, hormone-free meats, and hand-picked produce in every item. In addition to the delicious food, Urbane Cafe also supports local schools and nonprofits with fundraising, special events, and disaster relief initiatives.
