Location Matters has announced the sale of the business and newly executed lease at an iconic La Mesa Village restaurant located at 8302 La Mesa Blvd.

Por Favor Mexican Restaurant has sold to San Diego’s renowned Alba Restaurant Group, which will expand its footprint on La Mesa’s main drag. Por Favor, a beloved local landmark for nearly 40 years situated at one of La Mesa’s most prime intersections, will officially close its doors at its La Mesa Boulevard location on June 30th, according to a press release. The cherished restaurant will continue to serve its loyal patrons from its El Cajon location until then.

Once the restaurant closes, Alba Restaurant Group, the dynamic team behind popular establishments such as Farmers Table La Mesa, Farmers Bottega, Limoncello, and Smokey and the Brisket, will be introducing an exciting new Mexican concept in its place later this year. This 3,500-square-foot space, featuring two spacious patios, will undergo a complete remodel, transforming the space with an elevated design. The new venue will temporarily operate under a different name as they prepare to undergo construction.

This transformative new lease and sale of the business was facilitated by Alexis Couch with Location Matters, a San Diego-based commercial real estate brokerage focused on retail properties, with a very specialized restaurant leasing and sales team, who represented both the buyer and the seller in this noteworthy transaction.
