The Shawarma Guys have no plans on slowing down, with its third location in development in Mira Mesa and more to come in the future.

Previously, What Now San Diego reported on the company opening new locations in La Mesa, Mira Mesa, and South Park, but few details regarding when these sites would open were ever revealed. While The Shawarma Guys has opened its location in La Mesa, the Mira Misa brick-and-mortar is still under construction at the Village at Mira Mesa complex at 9690 Reagan Road #103 and is expected to open by the beginning of August, according to Eater San Diego. This is just the beginning for the company.

Last year, owner Bryan Zeto had promised fans of his South Park food truck that he would be opening a third brick-and-mortar in the same area, hoping to open in early 2024. Now that the time has come and passed, it’s unclear of Zeto is still working on a location that will sit in a two-story, 1,586-square-foot in South Park. The Shawarma Guys tells Eater that they intend to open its fourth outpost by the end of the year, perhaps north in Carlsbad or south in Eastlake.

This is an impressive achievement for Zeto, who first launched the business in 2018 from a food truck before gaining national recognition by landing on the Food Network and various food lists across the country. The new locations will feature a new menu item that Zeto tried to introduce earlier but never succeeded: a shawarma cheesesteak, available in wagyu beef, chicken, vegetarian, and vegan options and topped with caramelized onions, jalapenos, and bell peppers.
