According to recent social media posts, Folklores Coffee House is debuting a second outpost, this time in Beacon Hill.

Coming to 106 Michigan Avenue, taking over the former home of Cafe 2 Hermanos by Sweet Baker, the cafe will land near establishments such as Friends of Soul Records, Moo Deng Thai Restaurant, and Pink Dreams Vintage.

“We are beyond excited to announce that we are opening our second location in Beacon Hill! As we continue to grow and serve our community, we’re thrilled to share that this new space will have a special twist,” the coffee shop shares on Facebook.

For readers who are unfamiliar with Folklores, the business was founded in 2018 by Joel “Tatu” and Emilie Herrera and refers to itself as a “punk coffee house.” On its menu are coffee-based beverages as well as breakfast items such as parfaits, oatmeal, bagels, and croissants.

“Being a small business owner comes with its challenges, but we’re passionate about building connections and supporting our community. We can’t wait to meet new faces and reconnect with old friends as we embark on this exciting new chapter together,” Herrera tells MySA.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
