A New York burger institution is riding a meteoric rise and bringing its beef patties to the City of Brotherly Love. 7th Street Burger, a restaurant that prides itself on a simple, straightforward menu, is opening its first Philly location in Fishtown, reports The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The concept, founded by Kevin Rezvani, has signed a lease for 1215 Frankford Avenue. While a precise opening date is not yet available, Fishtown foodies hoping to sate a craving for an old-fashioned burger won’t have to wait too long to enjoy the restaurant’s fare. Rezvani projects a summer of 2025 opening for 7th Street Burger.

7th Street Burger’s Philly location will take it one step closer to fulfilling Rezvani’s grand vision for the concept-to become a go-to place for the region. He states: “A lot of people compare us to In-N-Out. I feel like In-N-Out is the burger spot of the West Coast, and we want to be the In-N-Out of the East Coast.”

7th Street Burger’s website shows that the chain has 21 locations currently open and in operation, 20 in New York with one outlier in DC. A Philadelphia debut will help the concept create a greater presence and brand recognition beyond the Big Apple.

Fishtown night owls will be happy to hear that 7th Street Burger intends to stay up late right alongside them; Revzani intends for the eatery to be open until 3 am Thursday through Saturday.

Diners won’t have to wrestle with decision paralysis when they stop in for a bite. The 7th Street Burger menu is minimalist; guests can choose from a cheeseburger and a double cheeseburger. The restaurant also offers fries, loaded beef fries, and spicy loaded beef fries. While vegetarians might fear they’ve been left out in the cold, 7th Street Burger has them covered; each option can be made with an Impossible Burger.
