Located at the intersection of FL-7 and Lantana Road in Boynton Beach, the Melrose Shops will soon welcome into its community a long-awaited barbecue destination, says recent coverage by the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. What’s on the menu? The flavors of pitmaster Lee Stransky: the award-winning Mistah Lee’s Smokin’ Good BBQ.
It’s the first brick-and-mortar location for Mistah Lee’s, and it will open at 8240 S FL-7, Suite 250, the coverage says.
Word of an opening date for the new restaurant is still forthcoming. The most recent post on the brand’s Facebook page, dated December 4, asked for patience in announcing an opening date, with hopes of opening before Christmas. This has not eventuated, and the restaurant is still marked Temporarily Closed on Google Maps.
“Mistah Lee’s has earned its title as Florida’s premier BBQ destination, celebrated for our award-winning, slow-cooked, and perfectly seasoned meats,” says a description provided to Google by the restaurant. “Our commitment to delivering authentic and unforgettable flavors ensures that each bite showcases some of the best barbecue the Sunshine State has to offer.”
What Now reached out on Tuesday to owner Marc Fine to inquire about plans for the launch. Fine was not immediately available for comment.
