Recent real estate intel reveals that Falafel Flame is opening a new location at 375 Saratoga Ave. in San Jose, taking over Suite D which was previously a Subway. Owner Massoud Rustakhis confirms that they will open this upcoming location “in about eight months,” so we can expect doors to open in Summer 2022.
Falafel Flame is known for serving Mediterranean fast food “with a twist” – the twist being a spin on favorite American fast foods by adding Mediterranean flair. They are perhaps best known for serving some of the best Halal burgers in the Bay Area, alongside pizzas and other Mediterranean classics such as gyros, kebabs, and of course, falafel.
The 1,540 square-foot restaurant space is still to undergo a full buildout to accommodate the incoming tenants. There was previously a Falafel Flame in San Jose on Ruff Drive but according to Google, this location is permanently closed. It’s likely that these new plans for Saratoga Avenue are a relocation.
Falafel Flame has been in business for more than ten years and has several locations throughout the Bay Area, including Dublin, Concord, Tracy, and Sunnyvale. They carry Halal Food Standards Alliance of America Certification for all their Halal meats.
