Sushi Maruyama will expand to 592 E. El Camino Real in Sunnyvale, California, according to a California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control license application. The filing identifies the proposed license as an on-sale beer and wine license for an eating place.

According to Sushi Maruyama’s website, the restaurant serves Japanese cuisine, including sushi, sashimi, appetizers, and cooked dishes. Its menu lists nigiri featuring fish such as bluefin tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and scallops, alongside specialty rolls such as spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, and baked lobster. Other offerings include Japanese-style fried chicken, grilled yellowtail collar, black cod marinated in miso, and seafood dishes.

The restaurant’s menu also features sashimi assortments and premium nigiri selections. These details reflect the offerings published by the brand and do not confirm which dishes will be available at the Sunnyvale location.

Sushi Maruyama currently lists a separate restaurant at 279 Baldwin Avenue in San Mateo on its official website. Additional details about the Sunnyvale operation, including its ownership structure, planned hours, interior, and opening timeline, have not been confirmed.
