Bootjack is preparing to reopen at 34 Miller Ave. in Mill Valley, California. According to its Instagram account, the business is “rounding the corner” and coming back soon.

Bootjack describes itself on Instagram as a coffee, bakery and to-go bites spot on the plaza in downtown Mill Valley. According to the account, its daily offerings are made in the company’s commissary kitchen.

Bootjack has previously operated in Mill Valley. According to the Marin Independent Journal, it opened in September 2020 at 17 Madrona St. That space had been home to Bay Village Bakery around 2001. The IJ described the 2020 opening as the site’s return to its roots as a bakery.

At the Madrona Street location, Bootjack served naturally leavened breads baked in a built-in Alan Scott wood-fired oven, along with pastries and coffee, according to restaurant listings. Listings for the business also show wood-fired pizzas, salads and other small plates.

The account has not shared a reopening date. It also has not said why the business closed or how long it has been shut.

Details about Bootjack’s updated menu, hours, and any changes to its offerings have not been announced.
