Imagine a veterinary experience that is stress-free both for you and your pet. Many pet owners might say that this almost never happens but thankfully, Modern Animal aims to make this a reality, one clinic at a time.

Modern Animal offers pet care for the 21st century, from 24/7 telemedicine through an all-access mobile app, to chic comfort-forward clinics. Their business model offers more efficient care, saving both pet owners and veterinarians time through tele-health visits. If a furry loved one does need an in-person visit, the clinics offer a warm, bright environment that puts pets, their owners, and the vets at ease.

Memberships at Modern Animal start at $100 per pet annually, which covers all exam fees and virtual care consultations. According to Forbes, Modern Animal hit maximum membership capacity and necessitated a waitlist shortly after founding its first clinic in West Hollywood in April 2020. Since then, the business has opened two more L.A. area locations and now has three more in the works, two of which are in the Bay Area.

In mid-2022, they will open at 401 Divisadero St. in San Francisco, according to their website. Additionally, recent real estate intel suggests that Modern Animal also has sights set on 217 Alma St. in downtown Palo Alto, which will likely open later in the year.
