Dream Pie Pizza is coming soon to 2985 College Ave. in Berkeley’s Elmwood district. The new business will take over the former Gai Barn Thai Soul Food, a popular small-plates restaurant that recently closed after three successful years in the neighborhood.
According to a zoning certificate business license recently approved by the city, Dream Pie Pizza will follow a similar dining format as its predecessor in the 1,000 square-foot restaurant space. There are plans to take over the beer and wine license at this address also.
The full service pizzeria plans to be open six days a week from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. The owner of Dream Pie Pizza has confirmed these plans, adding that they hope to open by July. At this time, they were unable to disclose further details about the menu and the space.
