According to a recently submitted permit application, a new ice cream shop is opening in Berkeley.

Coming to 1922 Martin Luther King Jr Way, Melt Me will land near establishments such as Café Etoile, Las Cabañas Mexican Grill & Taqueria, and Masa Ramen Bistro.

The concept’s owner, Nutchapol Phaungjit, tells What Now San Francisco that the creamery will offer to-go ice cream with an “Asian twist” — 12 to 16 flavors, including Thai tea and matcha — kolaches, and milkshakes.

“We are planning to open in mid-December,” he continues.
