Morning Lobby is preparing to open a second cafe at 47 E. Main St. in Los Gatos, with the new location expected to open in January 2027, according to the San Francisco Chronicle and the cafe’s official website. The business currently operates at 5011 Almaden Expressway in San Jose.
The Los Gatos location will give the cafe a larger space than its original San Jose shop. The new restaurant is expected to seat about 60 guests indoors, plus a small outdoor parklet. The expansion follows the popularity of the original location, which attracted customers for its breakfast offerings and specialty coffee.
Eleni Zafiris, her mother, Penny, and her uncle, Yanni Tsigaris, operate Morning Lobby. The family plans to retain elements of the original cafe’s design, including its pink color palette and a central coffee bar made of rosy quartzite. The Los Gatos space will also feature couches and booths.
The menu is expected to resemble the offerings at the San Jose location. Items include sourdough toast, breakfast sandwiches, a birria breakfast burrito, specialty coffee, and matcha lattes. The cafe sources its coffee beans from Saint Frank Coffee and uses bread from Mountain View bakery The Midwife and the Baker.
The original Morning Lobby menu includes toast with toppings such as avocado, ricotta scramble, salmon, and blueberry mascarpone. Breakfast sandwiches and specialty drinks are also part of the cafe’s offerings. The final menu for the Los Gatos location has not been announced, and the owners are still considering whether to pursue a liquor license.
Morning Lobby describes its concept as a place where specialty coffee and breakfast are paired. More information about the upcoming location is available on the company’s website.
