Masa’s Sushi is preparing to operate at 824 Main Street in downtown Pleasanton, California, according to an application filed with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC)

The business name is also associated with an existing sushi restaurant in Novato, California. According to Masa’s Sushi’s website, the Novato restaurant features Chef Takatoshi “Toshi,” who prepares sushi and other Japanese dishes. The restaurant describes its approach as focused on fresh, flavorful and affordable food, with options for lunch, dinner and special occasions.

The Novato menu includes chirashi bowls, nigiri, sashimi, specialty rolls and bento boxes. Other offerings include tempura, udon, ramen, grilled fish and chef-curated omakase tastings. The restaurant also serves sushi platters and a selection of Japanese beer and sake. These menu details are confirmed for the Novato location; it has not been established whether the proposed Pleasanton restaurant will offer the same selections.

The proposed Pleasanton location is in the city’s downtown commercial district. Further details about the business’s ownership, relationship to the Novato restaurant, menu, operating hours and anticipated opening date have not been announced.
