North Las Vegas residents are gearing up for more exciting retail and dining destinations (plus the end of some serious construction) as work proceeds on developments along Craig Rd. What Now Las Vegas has reported on several new developments announced earlier this year by North Las Vegas Mayor John Lee. Another of these, mentioned in coverage on Newsbreak.com last month, is Fly Pie Pizza, a drive-thru pizza concept that opened last year in Henderson.
Behind the project is Born and Raised founder Scott Godino Jr. and Anthony E. Zuiker, a figure best known for creating the TV franchise CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. It is “the first drive-thru pizzeria concept to marry high-quality ‘culinary cuisine’ with family-friendly immersive entertainment,” said a press release that announced the opening of the first location in Henderson last June.
“Fly Pie is a community first organization that values the responsibility of serving our members,” Godino said in the press release. “This team and the concept we’ve come up with has the opportunity to revolutionize the quick service industry by marrying exceptional food with an entertainment experience like no other.”
Fly Pie Pizza’s drive-thru process from “takeoff” (placing an order) to “landing” (checking out) is an immersive experience featuring original animated characters created by Zuiker: “Mr. Heat,” “Lil Churro Tot,” “Chomp” and friends. The menu features “artisan pizza, wings, loaded fries, and made to order desserts like fried Oreos and churros,” taking inspiration from Godino’s award winning menu at Born and Raised.
“Fly Pie is about heart smiles and great pizza on the fly,” Zuiker said. “Our goal is to be the best part of a family’s day. One trip down our runway, and we believe you will fly with us in every way imaginable.”
No opening timeline is available for North Las Vegas’s Fly Pie location.
