A new Japanese izakaya looks to be opening on the northeast corner of North Grand Canyon Drive and West Skye Canyon Park Drive. Paperwork was recently submitted to the Las Vegas Planning Commission requesting a special use permit for full alcohol in a restaurant called Ginza Izakaya Japanese Restaurant.
A justification letter submitted with documents says the restaurant features about 1000 square feet of dining space, plus another 1000 for the kitchen and bar., with hours of operation from 3 to 11 pm daily and seating for about 90 guests, including 8 bar seats.
What Now reached out Zhi Gang Wang to inquire about plans for Ginza Izakaya on Friday. Wang was not immediately available for comment.
Located in Suites 100-110 at 9570 W Skye Canyon Park Drive, the restaurant would join fast-casual concepts like McDonald’s, El Pollo Loco, and Jersey Mike’s Subs. Across North Grand Canyon Drive is Skye Canyon Marketplace, a retail center home to restaurants like Two Sisters Broasted Chicken & Ribs, Omelette Cafe, and Skye Bar & Grill.
