Local Nod Cafe is coming soon to Huntington Beach. The new restaurant is gearing up to open at 19079 Beach Blvd. It will be replacing the former Bread Crumb Ohana Cafe at the Beach Garfield Shopping Center.

Representatives for Local Nod Cafe confirmed with What Now Orange County that they are planning to open towards the end of October, if all goes according to plan. They will be a cafe serving breakfast and lunch, though additional details about the menu are still being kept under wraps.

The former tenants of this 2,648 square-foot space were a popular spot in the neighborhood for breakfast and brunch. Bread Crumb Ohana Cafe was a family-owned business popular for their Hawaiian-fusion menu.

Folks on Yelp mention that Bread Crumb failed to keep up with rising rents in the shopping center in recent months, on top of a handful of customers citing a decline in service and quality. In any case, we look forward to seeing how Local Nod Cafe will fill the new void for a great local breakfast spot in this neighborhood. Stay tuned.
