Flores Mexican Restaurant, the popular central Texas Tex-Mex chain, will soon be undergoing key renovations, according to recent public records. The location in question is located at 2440 Hwy 290 West, near The Pizza Cave.

Public records examined by What Now Austin reveal that the renovations will concern “enclosing large patio area with steel frame windows and adding A/C”, likely making the restaurant more suited to endure sweltering Texas summers. The project is estimated to cost aorun $80,000 and should reach completion by October 2023.

What Now Austin reached out to co-owner Maria Flores to inquire about these changes and their effect on the customer experience, along with questions about other potential renovation plans at other locations, but she was not immediately available for comment.

“Authentic Mexican/Tex-Mex Cuisine from the Flores Family Recipes!” the official website declares. “Fresh tortillas prepared in each restaurant every day! Join us at one of our four locations around Austin, Texas today!”
