A new tenant will take over the former Kmart space at Cherrywood Plaza in Clementon, NJ. NJ.com reports that Zallie-Somerset, which operates 11 ShopRites in South Jersey, will close its ShopRite of Laurel Hill location and open a new ShopRite under a mile away at 1468 Blackwood Clementon Rd.

“We are so grateful to be in business in the South Jersey community for nearly a half-century,” Zallie-Somerset President David Zallie told Courier Post. “Innovating the grocery shopping experience for our guests and supporting the communities we serve is our continuing focus. We are committed to providing an excellent shopping experience centered on service, variety, and freshness.”

The grocer will also build a new store, ShopRite of Center Square Plaza, in Woolwich Township at the intersection of Center Square and Auburn roads. That store will replace its Gibbstown location. Both stores will open in March 2023, according to 42Freeway.com.
