Garces Eats will debut at 3601 S Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19148 (Wells Fargo Center) this October, at the start of the 2022-23 NHL and NBA seasons. The eatery will replace The Bistro stand on the Broad Street side of the Club Level.

Lauded Latin-American chef Jose Garces is the head of Garces Group — a hospitality hub “specializing in personal dining experiences rooted in the rich cultural traditions and culinary vision of Jose Garces.”

Garces Group is responsible for such culinary powerhouses as Amada — a Spanish tapas space; Buena Oda — a fast-casual Baja taqueria; Distrito — a modern Mexican eatery; The Olde Bar — a contemporary seafood and cocktail lounge; Village Whiskey — a burger and whiskey bar; and Volver — a contemporary American establishment.

Garces Eats will not only operate out of an open kitchen concept — an element of the eatery selected to showcase Garces’ warmth, hospitality, approachability, playfulness, globality, and dimension — it will also offer hungry customers a rotating menu to tickle even the most stultified palate. What’s more, the open kitchen concept “aims to create a personal connection to the people and the city of Philadelphia that [Garces] calls home.”

In addition to incoming menu features inspired by Garces’ international travels (the JG mission-style burrito bar with protein options like pork carnitas, al pastor, chile braised beef, and adobo chicken) the rotating menu at Garces Eats will feature beloved items from Village Whiskey (smash burgers done with Village Whiskey’s proprietary beef blend and Garces toppings and duck fat fries) and The Olde Bar (Buffalo cauliflower with buttermilk ranch and gin pickled celery).

“Having the opportunity to bring my Garces Eats concept to the Club Level has been hugely exciting for me,” Garces said in a press release. “At its core, Garces Eats is intended as an extension of my personal test kitchen & studio, where I will be bringing the best of handheld and bowl-based foods from around the world to one of the most dynamic event venues in the country.”
