EXOS will soon open a from-scratch kitchen at 201 Rouse Blvd Philadelphia, PA 19112 — a newly completed corporate headquarters by award-winning architecture firm DIGSAU — according to a Craigslist ad seeking an experienced lead line chef.
EXOS, formerly named Athletes Performance, started in 1999 as an LLC established by Mark Verstegen — the Director of Performance for the NFL Players Association. According to their website, EXOS “pioneered the field of human performance, bringing together an integrated approach for athletes.”
In 2014, the company absorbed Medifit Corporate Services, “which staffs corporate wellness centers nationwide.” In short, EXOS “is a private personalized performance training institute” that “[coaches] hundreds of thousands of people on a monthly basis, from athletes to office workers and everyone in between.”
The Craigslist job ad reads as follows:
“EXOS is the leading authority in performance athletics and is now expanding into Performance Wellness Programming. Here at EXOS, we are a from-scratch kitchen. We utilize the freshest produce, seafood, and grass-fed meats from vendors around the world and locally. If you are a culinary professional that is a team player and eager to learn, EXOS is looking for you.”
What Now Philly reached out to Chief Operations Officer Bill Bourque for comment but did not receive immediate feedback.
