Talon Restaurants LLC, headed by president and CEO Mike Axiotis, is bringing a global chicken phenomenon to Berks County this fall. The restaurant group will be opening two Wingstops, one in Muhlenberg and the other in Cumru, reports local media outlet 69 News.
While there are currently 27 Wingstops in Pennsylvania, Talon’s two impending locations will be the first to open in Berks County.
The Muhlenberg Wingstop is opening at 3240 North Fifth Street Highway, and the Cumru restaurant will be located at 532 East Lancaster Avenue.
The Muhlenberg and Cumru shops are only the beginning for Axiotis and Talon. The restaurant group is slated to open 15 new Wingstops over the coming four years.
Talons has already opened three Lehigh Valley storefronts in Emmaus, Hanover Township, and Northampton County.
Wingstop opened its first location in Texas in 1994 and rocketed to huge national success. The popular brand has more than 1,950 global locations.
Wingstop specializes in made-to-order chicken wings. Guests uninterested in wings can enjoy the restaurant’s chicken tenders and sandwiches. Every offering comes with the customer’s choice of 12 sauce flavors, ranging from original hot to garlic parmesan.
Wingstop will offer takeout and delivery options, as well as dining in.
