New Jersey craft beer enthusiasts have a new favorite hangout to anticipate. Popular Fairfrield brewery, Magnify Brewing, is opening a second location in Medford at the end of 2024.
Magnify Brewing owner, Eric Ruta, spoke to What Now Philadelphia about his intentions and plans for the establishment’s new home, located at 17-19 North Main Street. Ruta explains that the space formerly housed the old town hall.
The Medford location, Ruta explains, has been a long-time in the making. “This is a project we’ve been working on since late 2019. Covid threw a massive wrench in our original timeline.” Ruta adds that the nature of the project added time to the process, saying “Since we are purchasing the land and building the brewery from scratch, there is a lot more planning and construction than simply signing a lease on an existing building. Good things take time!”
The opening of the new location will have no impact on the Fairfield Magnify fans know and love. However the new location will expand on the elements that made the original Magnify so successful. Ruta details the differences, saying “It will differ in that it will be a much larger tap room and outside beer garden with a higher capacity. We are focussing on making the experience of coming to Magnify the best it can possibly be. Being in an industrial park with a relatively small tap room, we are a bit limited with what we can do currently.”
Of course, the beer will be the Medford Magnify’s main attraction. Ruta explains that all brewing will be done on-site. He describes the new location’s beer menu as “similar, but not the same selection as Fairfield.”
Ruta looks forward to exploring a new frontier and creating a bigger and better Magnify experience. He sums up the project aptly, stating “We’ve done an amazing job cultivating an experience with our current location but we are ready to take it to the next level. The same beer, but even better in terms of space, ambiance and experience. We also look forward to hosting large events that can help us build the same kind of craft beer community we’ve built in north Jersey in south Jersey. “
