Lehigh Valley residents will be able to enjoy a taste of the charcuterie craze in 2024. Partners in life and business Jessica Loney and Andrew Kehm will open A Couple Craves in downtown Bethlehem early next year, reports local media outlet 69 News.

The Easton couple plans to open their business at 3 West Broad Street, Suite 6, in either January or February. The pair are enthusiastic about creating a business that allows them to support other local businesses. Loney explains ““We’re really big on supporting other small businesses,” adding “So, we’ll have meats, cheeses and honey from several local farms as well as nearby farms in Wilkes-Barre and other areas. The furthest we are traveling to is Lancaster.”

A Couple Craves will allow guests to choose between grabbing-and-going or sharing a delicious meat and cheese board at the shop’s high and low top tables. Additionally, larger parties can enjoy their charcuterie at a butcher’s block table.

A Couple Craves will cater to both customers with particular visions and those who prefer to have decisions made for them. Loney states that guests can curate their own board or rely on her considerable experience, saying “We’ll have a lot of different options, which you can try prior to ordering. Some people may just want us to handle it and choose for them, which we’re happy to do as well.”

Those hoping to take a taste of A Couple Craves home with them will be pleased to hear the eatery will be selling its products individually. Loney explains “We’ll be selling our jars of honey and meats and cheeses separately. So, if someone just wanted a block of cheese to take home and cut themselves, they could do that as well.”

Charcuterie is having a significant cultural moment, and A Couple Craves is certain to fit in well with downtown Bethlehem’s hip and bustling environment. Loney is enthusiastic about the project, concluding “We’re really excited. Downtown Bethlehem is full of activity, and it’s so great to see the variety of businesses, especially the food businesses, that are coming.”
