Situated directly on the Intracoastal Waterway in Fort Lauderdale, Manhattan Tower was designed in the middle of the twentieth century by Charles McKirahan, originally serving as a corporate retreat before being converted to an apartment hotel. Located steps away from the beach, the hotel offers panoramic views and—soon—a new restaurant: Nibbles.

What Now confirmed the news of Nibbles’ opening on Monday in a phone call with owner Russel Dion. Dion declined to comment on the details of restaurant’s menu, saying it’s still looking for its head chef.

A recent job posting on Craigslist describes the restaurant as a “Cappuccino/Wine Bar” that will specialize in small plates and tapas, offering breakfast in the morning, an all-day menu from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and a Blackboard Dinner Menu from 4 to 9 p.m. each night.

Located at 701 Bayshore Drive, Manhattan Tower is part of a large cluster hotels, although it is one of the closest to the Intracoastal Waterway. You can find out more about its amenities and its more than a half century of history at the hotel’s website.
