A new sports-friendly Italian restaurant is headed to Fort Lauderdale. Livia Bar & Grill will serve up its Italian cuisine, along with beer and cocktails, in a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of screens for watching the game, at 500 N Andrews Ave.

“It’s a classic southern Italian restaurant with some American favorites,” a representative told What Now on Friday. “It’s not a sports bar, there’s no memorabilia on the walls, but it will have a lot of TVs. It’ll be high energy.”

Seating a total of 150 guests (53 inside, 96 on the patio), Livia will boast a 70-foot indoor and outdoor bar and will offer Italian and Italian-American favorites like chicken parmesan, linguine and clams, and Neapolitan-style pizza, at a price point of $20-25 per person.

“We want to make it affordable,” the representative said. “It’ll be a neighborhood place where you can go two or three times a week without breaking the bank.”

The representative said Livia Bar & Grill is working toward an opening this fall—“just in time for football season.”
