Whit’s Frozen Custard, an Ohio-based frozen custard shop known for making fresh custard in small batches throughout the day, is getting ready to open its first Miami location at 8845 SW 72nd Place in Downtown Dadeland.

The new shop will occupy approximately 1,500 square feet, with a grand opening targeted for Spring 2027, according to QSR Magazine. The location will be operated by Eleven O1, L.P., a Florida-based partnership formed to bring the brand to South Florida, led by Adam Bengharsa. Customers can expect Whit’s signature frozen custard, Whitsers, sundaes, shakes, and other frozen treats.

The Miami shop will mark the first Whit’s Frozen Custard location for Eleven O1 and the first of several the partnership plans to open throughout South Florida. The group aims to open about 10 locations over the next five to six years. Future expansion will depend on individual store performance and opportunities in additional communities.

Founded in Granville, Ohio, in 2003, Whit’s Frozen Custard has expanded into multiple markets, including Florida. The company currently lists locations throughout the state, including Boca Raton, Coral Springs, Delray Beach, Jacksonville, and other communities. Several additional Florida locations are also listed as coming soon or opening soon on the company’s website.

Whit’s makes its frozen custard fresh daily, offering vanilla and chocolate as regular flavors alongside a rotating Flavor of the Week. The menu includes scoops, Whitsers, Whitties, shakes, sundaes, and floats. Whitsers combine frozen custard with customers’ choice of toppings, while Whitties feature custard served between two cookies.

The Downtown Dadeland location is part of the brand’s continued expansion into Florida, with Eleven O1 leading its growth in the southern part of the state. Whit’s CEO Bill Aseere expressed enthusiasm about entering the South Florida market and partnering with Bengharsa and the Eleven O1 team. The Miami opening is expected to be the beginning of the partnership’s plans to introduce Whit’s Frozen Custard to additional South Florida communities.
