Miami’s North Bay Village is undergoing some major transformations over the next few years. What Now reported recently on news of Palm Tree Club—a new restaurant, hotel, and marina concept from Palm Tree Crew and Continuum Company—replacing Shuckers Waterfront Bar & Grill. (This move prompted a lament in Eater Miami: “Shuckers Closing Is Just More Proof Miami Is No Longer for Locals.”)

Now word is out about another major project happening in the area: Shoma Bay, a condo tower from Shoma Group, which will include a Publix (“With residences starting at $750,000, this might be the most bougie Publix in the state of Florida,” says the Miami New Times)—plus a rooftop lounge and various other retail and restaurant attractions.

More information is not yet available on the retail and restaurant concepts planned for Shoma Bay, but stay tuned for updates as details are revealed.

Shoma Bay is expected to launch in 2026.

EDITOR’S NOTE: A previous version of this article stated that Shoma Bay would house a new Shoma Bazaar. No Shoma Bazaar will open at Shoma Bay.
