A new multi-purpose development in Tempe is opening next year, bringing a new Blanco Taco Cocina + Cantina location to 717 S. Novus Place.

The new restaurant is one of three Fox Restaurant Concepts coming to The Novus Innovation Corridor, a 275,000-square-foot shopping, dining, and entertainment district, according to Phoenix Business Journal. Other restaurants coming to the development include Flower Child and North Italia. All standalone restaurants are expected to start construction by year-end, with potential opening dates all set for the second half of 2024. Fox Restaurant Concepts is owned by its parent company, The Cheesecake Factory.

“We are thrilled that Blanco Taco Cocina + Cantina, North Italia, and Flower Child will have a future home in Tempe at the Novus Innovation Corridor,” restaurant group founder Sam Fox said on Blanco’s social media. “Since opening our doors at Culinary Dropout along Farmer Avenue, the Tempe community has been a blast to serve, and we look forward to bringing new dining options to this massive project at Arizona State University.”

When the restaurant opens next year, customers can expect plenty of Mexican classics, such as chimichangas, fajitas plates, burritos, and an impressive list of tacos and cocktails. Blanco Taco Cocina + Cantina will become one of the best Mexican restaurant options in the area and for ASU students. While Blanco will provide the flavors south of the border, North Italia will cover all Italian options, and Flower Child will have healthier options.

The three new dining options aren’t the only new amenities coming to the area. The Novus Innovation Corridor is currently in its third phase of development, which also includes a 318-unit apartment complex called The Piedmont. There will also be a 260-key, dual-branded Hyatt House and Hyatt Place and a 160,000-square-foot office building called 777 Tower. A new 160,000-square-foot office building called 700 Novus Place is also “permit ready” and waiting for a tenant to commit to taking a large portion of the building.
