A new Japanese restaurant is looking to take over the space at 111 Stanton Street.
Principal Mohamed Rashiad Mohamed Adam Bin has filed for a liquor license under Genki East Inc., with plans to open a sushi restaurant called Genki in the vacant space.
Plans for the space include five tables that will seat 10 and one bar that will seat eight. The proposed hours are 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
The principal is also behind Genki Omakase at 552 LaGuardia Place. Genki Omakase serves a variety of sushi options.
As of now, an opening timeline remains unknown.
