According to a recent permit filing, Tamu: Restaurant & Sangria Bar aims to debut at 66 E Wacker Place inside the Hilton Garden Inn.

“Introducing, Tamu, a sensational restaurant and the first Sangria Bar known to the public. Nestled in the heart of downtown Chicago, between River North and the Theater District, just two blocks from Millennium Park, Navy Pier, and the upscale shopping on the Magnificent Mile, our location is perfect for enjoying the best of Chicago. The iconic Willis Tower is just a mile away,” the company’s website states.

Tamu’s website connects two social media pages for Yaya’s Sangria. Yaya’s Instagram states that “Yayas Sangria began with two liquor enthusiasts who love wine. We currently have 25 plus flavors in our repertoire.”

How these two concepts are connected has yet to be confirmed, but it looks like they are behind Tamu. Listed to be behind Tamu’s liquor license filing are Tamu, LLC, Willie James, and Mikeal Holtzclaw-Gray. Willie and Mikeal are both listed to be managing members of the concept.
