Cheba Hut, the marijuana-themed sandwich shop known for creative “toasted” subs, is opening a fifth Texas spot in Denton early next year.
After a successful 2020 launch in Deep Ellum, The Dallas Observer reports that along with Denton, two more Cheba Hut locations are also planned for the DFW metroplex next year. The locations are part of a three-unit deal signed by local entrepreneur and franchisee, Bhavik Bhakta.
Bhakta is excited to launch Cheba Hut in Denton. “We are confident that the concept will resonate, and we are thrilled to be able to bring high-quality sammies and delicious munchies to our community,” he said.
The second and third locations have yet to be confirmed, but Bhakta has his sights set on North Dallas for the second location.
Founded in 1998 in Tempe, Arizona, the brand is now based in Colorado and has over 40 locations across the nation. There are currently four Cheba Hut locations in operation in Texas including Austin, San Antonio and Houston.
What Now DFW has reached out to Bhakta for further comment and address information on the Denton location.
