2026 may be coming to a close, but Little Moose Creamery, Frisco’s newest home for delicious premium ice cream, is just getting started. The shop has been enjoying a warm welcome from the local community during its soft opening phase, and is getting ready to hold its grand opening, ushering in a new era of sweet treats.
Little Moose Creamery, located at 5501 Preston Road, Suite 120, is already well on its way to becoming a neighborhood favorite. Owner Cecile Luk generously made some time to fill What Now Dallas in on the family-run establishment’s debut-how it’s been going and what the future holds.

Luk explains that while the soft opening only launched on October 4, pre-opening anticipation was strong and she and her team already “have a strong sense of community. Since we haven’t done any proper advertising so far, except posting on our IG, all our followers and customers have been checking us out way before we opened. They came in the first week telling us they have been waiting since summer, they mostly live in Frisco or drive by Preston, they all love family business and ice cream. And most of all they love our moose concept a lot. They have been following us during shop construction so it feels like they are part of our shop as well.”
Little Moose already has a strong base of both customers and staff-the second most important ingredients for success (following, of course, the amazing ice cream). Luk states: “We are so grateful to feel a big and enthusiastic welcome by 95% new customers! We had some friends visiting but most but not all are new customers waiting all along for our door to open. Our new crew members are amazing and they feel like our shop family members as well. This is what we wanted to create, a sense of community and a family vibe and I think we have a good start.”
Locals have already crowned a definitive fan-favorite from Little Moose’s menu of premium soft serve. Customers dealing with decision fatigue may want to check out two particular standouts Luk describes as: “Moose Camp S’mores sundae featuring our house made chocolate soft serve. Our chef (i.e. my husband and co-founder) has to source at least 4 ingredients to complete his special recipe which he learned from Italy. Chocolate is a simple and common one and we wanted to make it not so simple and give a wow effect. Secondly, our Campfire banana split is also our customer’s favourite. There is a real campfire on our banana split which gives our customers a surprising touch. We burned the top of the banana and toasted it up a little bit.”
Even the vessels Little Moose’s treats come in are next level; Luk explains: “All our waffle cones and bowls are made freshly in house every day which also attracts our customers from simply the delicious buttery smell. And all our sauces are gluten-free to make our customers more welcomed to fit their diet.”
Both existing fans and future regulars should mark their calendars for Sunday, October 25. Little Moose will be holding its grand opening that day, beginning at noon and lasting all day. The day will be fittingly full of family-friendly fun, including a live balloon artist from 12-2 and day-long giveaways, including a limited-edition Moose logo sticker for the first 100 guests-so make sure to arrive early!
Exciting as it is, the grand opening is only the beginning for all that Little Moose has in store for Frisco. Luk and her team want the ice creamery to become a neighborhood staple-a place customers are happy to visit, both for its delicious treats and its welcoming atmosphere. She sums up her vision and hopes for the concept beautifully, saying: “Our goal is to build a stronger community sense. Whenever people think of soft serve and want a gathering place for friends and family, we hope they will come to us and get some sweet treats to sweeten their day. We are proud to be part of the community as a small family business and open our first shop in Preston Road Frisco.”
