The newest Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex sweetgreen is expected to open at 5280 Belt Line Rd. in Addison, according to state licensing information. The chain, which offers a variety of healthy bowls and salads, could open in Addison sometime in early 2023.

The menu includes warm bowls such as the Summer Teriyaki Bowl with blackened chicken, the Fish Bowl, and the Chicken Pesto Parm. A variety of salads are on sweetgreen’s menu. You can choose from Peach + Goat Cheese with peaches, goat cheese, cucumbers, spring mix, shredded kale, and more, the Kale Caesar, or the Buffalo Chicken Bowl.

Sides include summer veggies, rosemary focaccia, or roasted sweet potatoes. Refreshing Spindrift sparkling water can quench your thirst, or you can try several flavors of kombucha or tea.

According to the brand’s Facebook page, sweetgreen’s mission “is to build healthier communities, by connecting people with real food.” The company works with trusted partners and farmers to provide ingredients for scratch-made menu items.

The sweetgreen brand is also dedicated to sustainability, pledging to become carbon neutral by the end of 2027. “Our plant-forward menu means that we’re already on average 30% less carbon intensive than the average American meal,” stated sweetgreen’s website. The first sweetgreen opened in Washington, D.C. in 2007.
