A New Orleans-style coffee concept is heading to McKinney. According to public filings, Beignets and Brew plans to open at 8251 Eldorado Pkwy., Suite 100, within the Eldorado Neighborhood Shops development.
Founded in 2023, Beignets and Brew specializes in New Orleans-style beignets, square fried pastries served warm and dusted with powdered sugar. The beignets are made fresh to order. The menu also includes mini beignet bites, dipping sauces and salty options. Coffee offerings include café au lait, cappuccinos, cold brew and specialty lattes, alongside smoothies and teas.
What Now Dallas spoke with franchisee Ken Taylor, who said he is targeting an opening in March 2027, pending construction timelines and permitting. The team is currently focused on completing the permitting process and handling other administrative tasks.
Taylor operates more than 100 restaurants in Tennessee under a separate brand and plans to bring a similar community-focused approach to McKinney. He also confirmed that the group is beginning to develop its community engagement strategy.
“Our plan is to get engaged and be a part of the community, partner with schools, organizations, and especially causes that we get behind,” he told What Now Dallas.
The ownership group also plans to support causes that reflect its members’ personal interests.
“We like to partner with health and medical organizations, schools, different companies in the community, and try to get involved and engaged with them,” he said.
What Now Dallas has previously covered Beignets and Brew’s expansion into multiple markets, including a location in Boca Raton, Florida, and an opening in Jonesboro, Arkansas, where the brand was recruiting ahead of its debut.
The Eldorado Neighborhood Shops development is also attracting other food and retail concepts. What Now Dallas previously reported that Drybar is slated to open in Suite 101 of the same building. McKinney’s broader restaurant scene has also seen new arrivals, including Bread Zeppelin and Mo’ Bettahs.
