MetroFreshual, Mitchell Anderson, Has Eyes Set On First of Many

The AT&T store located at 1589 Monroe drive in Midtown is in the process of relocating to Ansley Mall next to Moe’s Southwest Grill.

Mitchell Anderson, owner of MetroFresh located at 931 Monroe Circle northeast, has his eyes set on this location for launching his newest restaurant concept, MichWich.

Being fans of MetroFresh, our skepticism grew as to whether or not MitchWich was ever going to happen considering we broke the news on January 27th (story here).

Now, nearly six months later, the first location isn’t actually secured but Anderson more than wants this to be the inaugural MitchWich space, according to sources at MetroFresh. Architects have prepared renderings of the space and Mitchell Anderson has a bid out and is currently undergoing negotiation.

When the dust on the deal settles, MitchWich will operate as “gourmet boutique sandwich shop,” and will be similar to MetroFresh using only the finest, high quality and sometimes organic ingredients (in a quirky and creative space).

With plans to be open for breakfast and lunch daily, the set menu will include sandwiches, a couple of salads, and a few MetroFresh soups. Anderson says other possible locations include Downtown, West Midtown, Midtown, Decatur, East Atlanta, Brookhaven and Buckhead.

Stay tuned for more concrete details as they surface.
