A DFW favorite is preparing to invite Arlington residents to join its family breakfast. Breakfast Brothers is bringing unique interpretations of the most important meal of the day to a second neighborhood location, according to official Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation documents.

The family-focused restaurant will be opening at 400 East Front Street, building 4-D100. The paperwork submitted to TDLR states that work on the 4,059 square foot space is set to begin on March 1. Owner Rickey Booker tells What Now Dallas that Breakfast Brothers should be greeting customers in its new Arlington home by April at the earliest and May at the latest.

The project will be a renovation of the existing building-the TDLR describes it as an “interior finish out for a restaurant concept in an existing shell space”.

The brain child of entrepreneurs Rickey Booker and Jonathan Biley-Smith, Breakfast Brothers puts a southern spin on the start of the day. The restaurant began life in 2017 as a food truck parked outside of the duo’s nightclub, prepared to feed hungry merry-makers. The cuisine proved so popular that the pair pursued more permanent locations.

Booker says that the new location-the largest to date-has found an ideal neighborhood, full of bustle and life. He states “The area is in the entertainment district, it’s one mile from all the entertainment…the Rambler Inn is above. It will be really huge. It’s a high profile area.”

Breakfast Brothers offers Arlington diners the chance to enjoy the best worlds of soul-food and breakfast dishes, in a Black-owned establishment.  Booker describes what future regulars can look forward to, saying “We’ll be there 7 days a week, 7 am to 4 pm. We do not only do a traditional breakfast, we innovate with high end ingredients with a Southern appeal.”

Booker explains that while the basic decor will be the same, the larger space will allow the restaurant to accommodate a greater number of hungry patrons-a need that Breakfast Brothers has faced in its other homes. The restauranter states: “Every design will look the same on the interior. The more space will be for extra seating because we run out of seating every day at our other locations. We run into 1-2 hour waits every day. We’re going to be getting more traffic in the new area, so hopefully we won’t have the hour waits.”

The concept currently has three locations open and in operation in the DFW-two full-service restaurants and one express concept.

Booker and his team have their eyes towards the horizon and the future of their unique and beloved restaurant. He states that he has hopes for franchising the concept, and states: “After this opens we’re looking at maybe Fort Worth, Frisco, and the Colony areas to expand.”
