The spirit of aloha is heading to Little Elm. According to public filings, Mo’ Bettahs Hawaiian Style Food plans to open at 26556 E. University Drive, Suite 210, with construction expected to be completed by February 2027. No opening timeline has been disclosed for this location yet.
What Now Dallas spoke with Mo’ Bettahs representatives, who said the company plans to continue scouting new locations across the area through 2027.
“We’re excited to continue to spread the spirit of aloha,” a representative said.
Mo’ Bettahs’ menu centers on proteins such as teriyaki chicken, teriyaki beef, and katsu chicken, served with two scoops of rice and one scoop of macaroni salad.
Founded in Utah in 2008 by brothers Kimo and Kalani Mack, Mo’ Bettahs has built a loyal following around the Hawaiian plate lunch tradition—a meal rooted in Hawaii’s plantation era, when workers from Japan, Korea, China, Portugal, and the Philippines gathered to share their lunches, creating a uniquely Hawaiian culinary identity.
The Little Elm opening is part of a broader DFW expansion. What Now Dallas previously covered the brand’s upcoming McKinney location. Representatives confirmed to the outlet that the opening is currently targeted for November or December 2026.
