Yardstick, the premier name in boutique dog hospitality, announced the opening of its first Texas location in the heart of the Dallas Design District this February, with a second location set to open in Lakewood in May. Dallas Design District reservations for tours and overnight boarding started on February 6 and is now open.

Yardstick redefines dog hospitality by delivering an intimate and stress-free experience in an elevated environment. Designed with smaller spaces and personalized attention in mind, Yardstick’s custom-built spacious suites emphasize comfort and pay particular attention to sound reduction to ensure a peaceful retreat for even the most sensitive pups.

The carefully designed space also features:

  • A cozy sofa lounge for ultimate relaxation.
  • Padded playroom floors for impact resistance during playtime.
  • Turfed play yards with sun and rain protection for year-round fun.
  • Premium air quality controls for a clean, healthy environment.
  • A curated room service menu featuring Yardstick’s popular puppuccino and industry-leading treats.

Yardstick’s highly trained Hosts are dedicated to delivering the calmest and safest boarding experience in the industry, including on-site overnight supervision. The Yardstick experience offers individualized enrichment activities, group play sessions featuring a high Host-to-guest ratio, and a focus on creating a home away from home.

Services include:

  • Nighttime (boarding): guests are supervised round-the-clock and sleep in spacious suites built to maximize comfort and minimize sound.
  • Daytime (daycare): split by dog size allowing for safer and more intimate playgroups, Daytime guests enjoy various playrooms with easy access to outdoor yards.
  • Bathtime (grooming services): available for Daytime and Nighttime guests, services included bath and brush treatments, dental chews, nail trims and ear cleanings.

Building on the success of its three celebrated Nashville locations, which have welcomed over 3,500 four-legged guests in just two years, Yardstick brings its signature blend of design and care to Dallas.

“We’re beyond excited to bring Yardstick’s unique approach to dog hospitality to Dallas,” said Dave Atkins, Co-Founder & CEO of Yardstick in a statement. “The city’s deep love for dogs and vibrant, creative community make it the perfect place for us to expand. We designed every element of Yardstick to prioritize the comfort, safety, and happiness of our four-legged guests, and we can’t wait to support Dallas parents in need of reliable pet care.”

Yardstick Dallas Design District opened on February 6, and boarding and tours can now be conveniently booked online. Daytime inquiries can be made by phone or email. Yardstick Dallas Design District is located at 2222 Irving Boulevard.
