According to a recent signage permit, Charleston-based restaurant chain Beech plans to open up its fifth local storefront. Located at 475 E Bay St. in Wraggborough, the new location will neighbor the first Beech restaurant near the College of Charleston. Serving healthy food items, Beech is known for their healthy food items including poke bowls, fresh juice smoothies, bagels, and seafood.
Continuing to spread their message about healthy eating options among their local community, the brother duo Keegan Bird and Daniel Rimer started their Beech journey in 2016 with their first location in Downtown Charleston on King St. Soon after, Beech opened its second location on Daniel Island, and in 2021 the brothers opened up their third location on James Island, according to Beech’s website.
Last year, the duo opened up the Beech Shack in Mount Pleasant, a smaller shop with a condensed space and menu for those looking for a quick healthy grab-and-go meal from a local favorite restaurant.
The fifth addition to the chain will continue to serve its signature poke and acai bowls with fresh and organic ingredients. Classic items will likely be on the menu, including the Beech Bowl with acai, granola, banana, strawberry, blueberry, kiwi, pineapple, coconut flakes, and raw honey. New menu items are likely to come to the new location as Beech continues to expand its presence in Charleston and the state of South Carolina as a whole.
