A longstanding steakhouse and sushi bar is expanding with a ramen restaurant.

According to the eatery’s website, Hachiya Kyoto Steakhouse and Sushi Bar will soon debut its sister restaurant, Hachiya Ramen, at 996 Johnnie Dodds Blvd, Suite 101 in Mt Pleasant.

Owner Richard Milana, who manages both restaurants alongside his partner Yuichiro “Junior, confirmed this development with What Now Charleston, promising to divulge more details soon.

While specifics are currently limited, prospective Hachiya Ramen patrons can anticipate a diverse selection of ramen styles similar to those offered at Hachiya Kyoto. This includes tonkotsu, hachiya, tan tan men, and vegetable ramens.

In addition to the variety of ramen bowls, guests can enjoy ramen “sets” featuring karaage (Japanese marinated fried chicken) and a choice of onigiri (rice balls).

Stay tuned for updates as the project unfolds, and be sure to follow Hachiya Ramen on Instagram for the latest developments.
