Kentucky Fried Chicken is coming to Monument. Construction documents were approved by the city a few weeks ago and the project is in the clear to get underway at 16385 Cinematic View Dr.

Records show that The Town of Monument has green-lighted plans for the KFC drive-thru restaurant. It sits on 0.797 acres on the southwest corner of Harness Road and Jackson Creek Parkway, in the Monument Marketplace North center.

The restaurant owner is listed as KB ENTERPRISES LLC, a franchisee of Kentucky Fried Chicken. Bohler Engineering is also listed on the project documents. Data shows the 2,700-square-foot building will be 19 feet tall, have seating for 33, and have 23 parking spaces allotted for it.

The Tribune reported last year that the store expects to “generate $2.5 million in sales revenue in its first year.” Monument has seen bustling growth lately, with the population expected to double in the next seven years.
