Cajun Steamer Bar and Grill will open a new Hendersonville location next year.

The Cajun cuisine chain listed a location at 185 Indian Lake Blvd. as coming soon on its website. It has plans to open the location in early 2023.

Initially founded by Jeff Thompson, Cajun Steamer started as a food stand selling crawfish from the back of a trailer in the 1900s in Louisiana.

Thompson later opened a restaurant location in 2005. Since then, the restaurant has expanded with a place in Murfreesboro and another in Franklin.

Other than crawfish, the Cajun restaurant menu items include Smoked Tuna Dip, Fried Pickle Claws, Creole Seafood Dip, Fire Shrimp, and Fried Grouper Fingers.

What Now reached out to Cajun Steamer’s president and COO Gaston Lanaux, but he was not immediately available for comment.
