Party Fowl is moving to a brand new location in the Gulch.

Specializing in Hot Chicken, Party Fowl “offers local beers on draft and signature “Boozy Slushies,” according to its website.

The chicken restaurant plans to close its current location at 719 8th Ave. S, and open at 730 8th Ave S.

“We have been very fortunate and blessed in that building,” owner Austin Smith told What Now. “We want to improve and so we’re growing up.”

The new location will have 200 more seats than the previous location, which will cut down the wait time diners previously experienced.

“I love the fact that we’re busy, but I hate that so many folks are having to wait so long,” Smith said.

He added that his team planned to design the kitchen so more diners could be seated quickly.

The extra space will also enable the restaurant to have fun, themed nights like trivia nights and happy hours on Sundays.

This will also enable the restaurant to host watch parties, something it couldn’t do before.

“Those extra seats give me an opportunity to have a little more fun downtown,” Smith said.

Smith also aims for the location to be a favorite spot for locals. To do that, he’s aiming to be a place that’s easily accessible for locals.

“That’s what we’re investing in,” he said. “We’re investing in the experience of our guests.”

Party Fowl aims to open the new location by spring 2023.

“We have the building across the street that’s still open,” Smith said. “I’m not going to move until [the new location] is ready.”
