A new sports bar, tentatively named Typical, will soon replace the former KayBob’s Grille and Ale and H-Cue’s Upstairs Poolroom in Hillsboro Village, with an address of 1602 21st Ave. S.

Though an official grand opening date is currently unknown, owner and veteran Nashville restaurateur Amir Arab is aiming for the fall of this year to be open in time for football season, according to an article on the Nashville Post.

Arab is no stranger to the Hillsboro dining scene, as he’s owned local-favorite Pizza Perfect since 1983 with his brother, Ali. Typical will sit above Pizza Perfect and offer a nighttime getaway for post-pizza entertainment, including showing football games and other sports events on the big screen.

Arab will partner with fellow restauranteur Dalton Crow and contractor Mark Yarbrough to own and operate the future sports bar. The team is planning to add a stairwell to connect the downstairs and upstairs spaces. The Post also notes that the spot will offer a full bar and a rooftop patio.

Typical does not currently have a website or any social media pages set up, however, customers can stay updated about its development on Pizza Perfect’s website, Instagram, and Facebook.
